Take Part in a Nationwide Children's Survey of the Senses

Life’s Big Questions is now live.

It’s time to take part in our free, nationwide children’s survey of the senses!

Hosted by Martin Dougan (CBBC Newsround), join us for a free, five week series of interactive activities and classroom challenges to ask children (ages 7-11) big scientific and philosophical questions about how we experience the world and why the senses aren’t as simple as they seem.

Dreamachine invites classes across the UK, and children at home, to take part in Life’s Big Questions – to investigate the amazing potential of the human brain and facilitate this nationwide survey into the senses for children.

Combining science and art to creatively explore the power of the human mind

Dreamachine Schools is a major UK wide programme, developed by A New Direction in partnership with the British Science Association, UNICEF UK and We The Curious.

It fuses science with arts for pupils and teachers to explore the power of the human mind and brain and the big questions of perception and consciousness:

  • ‘How do I see the world around me?’
  • ‘How do others see the world?’
  • ‘How are we all connected?’

Discover a variety of exciting ways for your school to engage with the ideas, themes and possibilities of Dreamachine, from free accredited lesson plans in Science, Global Citizenship, and PSHE / Health & Wellbeing to teacher professional development focused on personal wellbeing and mental health, plus opportunities for schools to connect across the UK.
