Challenge pupils to broaden their understanding of their rights, think about what’s important to them, understand an increasingly complex world and recognise they are part of a global community.

Developed in partnership with UNICEF UK, each lesson focuses on a particular right from the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and helps pupils grow more confident in standing up for their beliefs and having their voices heard. Download the curriculum links here.

“I loved that there were a mixture of practical ideas, a game or fun style of presentation and that it suited SEN as well.” Miss Wortley, Head of Foundation & SENCo, Meadow Bridge Primary School, Hillsborough.

Rights Respecting Schools (UNICEF UK)

Our Global Citizenship resources have been created in partnership with UNICEF UK and support the Rights Respecting Schools programme.

Together young people and the school community learn about children’s rights, putting them into practice every day. Find out how your school can become a Rights Respecting School and access training, lesson plans, guidance and further resources via the link below.
